What is a “Cloud Workshop”? It’s a full day of talks by leading experts in academia and industry working in AI and machine learning, hardware acceleration, operating systems, networking, Big Data, security, storage and data management - all in the context of distributed systems – from mammoth data centers to tiny IoT devices on the edge of the cloud.  For further glimpses of what you can expect, please see the summaries of recent Workshops at Cornell, MIT, Stanford-UCSC, UT Austin, and UCB/UW/NYU.  

MIT/UW 2021 - June 11, 2021

The IAP MIT/University of Washington Workshop on the Future of Cloud Computing Applications and Infrastructure will be conducted Friday, June 11, 2021. This will be the third Cloud Workshop hosted by MIT and UW.

The focus on June 11, 2021 will be on AI Implementations and Applications: ML Architectures, Systems and Programming Environments.


This Workshop will be remote and online due to the Covid guidelines for the campuses.

UW/UCB/NYU 2020 - Oct. 30, 2020

The IAP University of Washington University/UC Berkeley/NYU Workshop on the Future of Cloud Computing Applications and Infrastructure was conducted Friday, October 30, 2020. This was the second IAP Cloud Workshop hosted by UW and UCB.

The focus on October 30 was Programmable Device Hardware Implementations and Applications - including SmartNICs, network-attached storage, FPGAs, etc.

UT 2019 - Dec. 10, 2019

The IAP University of Texas Workshop on the Future of Cloud Computing Applications and Infrastructure was conducted on Tuesday December 10, 2019 on the UT Austin campus in the Gates Dell Complex.

The IAP Cornell Workshop on the Future of Cloud Computing was conducted on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Upson Hall on the Cornell campus in Ithaca, NY.
